Is Google home page illegal ?
Several articles are going along the web saying that Google home page has baffles the “California Online Privacy Protection Act.”, which states that:
Any commercial net operation that collects personal info about its users “shall conspicuously post its privacy policy on its Web site.” This means a link to the policy must be “located on the homepage or first significant page after entering the Web site.”
Thus an army of privacy-minded people have came out to reason to make Google add a link to their privacy policy on their home page.
